IETA London Carbon Market Dialogue

About the dialogue

IETA is pleased to announce the date of the IETA London Carbon Market Dialogue on 23 June 2026, which will take place during the London Climate Action Week 2026 (20-28 June 2026) - location will be shared when attendance is confirmed.

The London Carbon Market Dialogue will include:

  • Session 1 - Carbon Markets: Strategic Infrastructure for Growth & Resilience (led by IETA) from 08:30 to 09:45 BST

As the global economy enters an era defined by industrial competition, energy security, AI-driven power demand and shifting trade alliances, carbon markets are emerging as far more than climate instruments — they are becoming strategic infrastructure for growth, resilience, and international cooperation. In a world of “variable geometry” - where countries, companies, financial institutions, and regions move at different speeds and form new coalitions around energy, trade, and competitiveness - carbon markets provide the connective tissue that can align capital, unlock lower-carbon supply chains and drive pragmatic decarbonisation at scale.

  • Session 2 - The Carbon Case: Exploring the Building of a New Global Market (co-led by IETA & Helmi) from 10:15 to 11:30 BST
  • Session 3 - Roundtable on Methane and Carbon Markets (co-led by Harvard & the Rocky Mountain Institute - RMI) from 11:45 to 13:00 BST

If you're interested in attending in person, kindly share your Expression of Interest using this form. Final attendance confirmation will be communicated in due time, as per the Organisers' approval.
